An ancient city located at the mouth of Kotor is located a few kilometers northeast of Kotor.
It is the oldest human settlement on the banks of Kotor coast that is known.Today it is known as one of the most beautiful examples of baroque architecture on the Adriatic with ancient palaces and towers. The main characteristics of Perast are the monumental buildings and other smaller stone buildings intertwined with other buildings of magnificent beauty.
Among the buildings which should be mentioned is the splendid building of Bujović of 1694 with five monumental atrium arches , five harmonious balconies on three facades and which houses the Town Museum and the buildings of Visković and Bronzot (parish office) with a marble bas-relief of the Annunciation.
